The Ingredients
- 8 slices of sourdough bread
- 8 tablespoons of butter, softened
- 8 slices of provolone cheese
- 8 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 4 tablespoons of minced garlic
- 4 tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or basil)
Note: This recipe serves 4 people, so adjust the ingredients accordingly if you need to make more or less. You can also customize the herbs to your liking or add additional ingredients to make the sandwich more filling, such as bacon or tomato.
The Directions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place 4 slices of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
- Add 1 slice of provolone cheese and 1 slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each slice of bread.
